Just landed in Stockholm and had lunch with my dad at Vapiano, one of my favorite restaurants. Now off to hang with my brother and friends and try to manage to do everything I’m planning on doing this weekend before heading back to Spain on Sunday!

Girls Boat!

How much better can a hangover day be than this? Me and Becky took our 210 out for some glassy sets and in between them we just turned the engine off for some tanning in the beautiful canyon. I got my toe 3’s back landing blind so stoked! I’m so lucky to be able to live this life!

Monday

What goes around comes around. That’s how I like to live my life and not just when it comes to how you treat other people but how you treat the world you live in. If you’re good to life, life will be good to you. Whenever I rush through things without listening to my surrounding and my selft life usually f**ks me right back. I’ll run like a race horse to get on the bus just to watch it drive away, I’ll pour a bowl of cereal just to notice its only 2 drops of milk left in the carton and I’ll go out riding just to notice my boots break after like 30 seconds. (You get the picture) Ever since I started paying attention to what goes on around me I feel like these things are connected. That’s why I feel like the universe is looking after me since it’s now been super windy for 3 days and I’ve stayed off the water for all 3 of them. My foot now feels a lot better along with my knees and hips. Lots of stretching, pasta and rest seems to have done the trick. Now I’m just waiting on my new Double Up bindings from Froggy to make it here and I’m ready to charge it again! Some people tell me that what I think about all this is stupid and that there’s no way it’s connected. And like when Johnsie back in Australia got surprised that I didn’t mind driving him to the airport, “Damn Carro I love your karma stuff!”.
Maybe if you stop and think about it, you will notice these things too. Everything happen for a reason and even though you could walk around and be angry at whatever isn’t going your way, think about that it might have saved you from something else.

Thanks universe for not making the weather behave like it normaly does! (:

Windy

In between rides and while waiting for the wind to calm down I’m working on my Spanish. Yeah, who would have thought I’d study freely?? But I guess if you wanna have a shot at the hot bartenders it won’t hurt to know the language 😉

Thanks for the books dad!

Yeeww!

Girls boat seems to be the way to go! Today I landed my toe back 1’s! Really stoked on it and the girl-power in the boat. Emma got her wake to wakes back and it just stoked me up real good to go out there and charge it again. She really knows how to pump me up (: One of the best things in wakeboarding has to be to land new tricks. It just makes my whole day soo good! Oh that and ice coffee (my new addiction) (:

Good night

Sunsets are pretty incredible here. Saying good night after a day full of girl power and back to the basics. Both Becky and Emma progressed their riding and I went back to messing around and riding a really small wake. Been the best day in a while taking it easy with my riding and not hurting my knees or my foot. Stoked!

5 days…

Lately my body has been hurting A LOT whenever I ride. It’s not just my foot but my knees, the inside of my left leg and my hips. Yesterday when I lay stretching in front of my computer Andres asked me how much I’ve been letting my body rest. I realized that I’ve only been off the water about 5 days since I got here, over a month ago! I guess you cant push your body too hard or it wont cooperate with you. I’m planning on taking a few days off riding next week to go and do something else and until then I’m just going to work on my foundations and spins.

I never told you how moby dick week went btw! After throwing a ton of them I felt how I progressed a lot and on sunday I was sure I was going to have it. Especially after DC went out and landed his first moby dick in 4 years. I had given up but after he did that I strapped on my board again and went to throw some more. Getting so close but still not stomping it but it’s like one of my old coaches used to say: “It’s not a failed goal, you just estimated the time wrong” so I’ll keep charging it. (That is after my body stops feeling like a worn out flip flop. (:

This is what legs look like when you’ve turned 21…
