I just woke up and can’t really go back to sleep. I guess I could blame it on jet-lag but honestly I’m pretty nervous. Going to stretch some before the others wake up and now I’m just pumping tunes thought I’ll throw some pictures from the week up in a sec. I’m also really hungry and thinking about the breakky waiting for us at the site.. It’s going to be hard to get used to not waking up to this every morning:
Time to sleep before the finals
Sorry for not blogging more, I’ve been busy with cheering on the rest of the Swedes as they’ve been riding and hanging out on the water with the locals. Unfortunatly Ken got knocked out after his semi-final run (even though he tried a ts 7 which he has never landed before). Jeremia however made it through so we are the ones representing Sweden tomorrow in the finals. I’m a little nervous cause I’ve been thinking a lot about my pass and if I stick it I have a good chance of winning! Even though the french girls and Sian ride so good right now! Either way, it’s going to be awesome to get that adrenaline rush again! (: Wish me Luck! I ride before Perry at 12.30 tomorrow and he rides at 13.30. I’ll let you know how I do! (:

LCQ’s
We went up early today to cheer on Ken and Mattias in their LCQ’s to fight for the last couple of spots in the Semi’s. Ken had a sick stand up pass with Heel 5, whirly, Nose glide, batwing and much more! He stomed about 3 tricks more than the others did so it looked promising. We still havent gotten any results yet but we keep our fingers crossed!
Mattias ended up in the heat with Nikiti from Russia who had a sick run with several mobes and a hs 720. This ment that Mattias had to try and give it all he had in order to make it through since only the top rider in the LCQ from every heat goes through. He started off good with a sick rail hit, whirly and scarecrow but then went down on a massive 313. On his pass back he landed a big worm and then went down on his heel 7 which means that he’s prob not going to go though to the semi’s.
Well have to wait for the results but the team is kicking it now and Me and Mickan (who aren’t competing today) are going to try and go out for a sesh with my newfound south african friends! Catch you later, Ted is riding at 5 later tonight!
Finals on Saturday!
And yeah, I forgot, I won my heat so I’m through as well! Finals are on Saturday so I’ll enjoy my vacation until then! (:
Jeremia in the Semi-finals!
He had a sick ride with Whirly, ts 5, tantrum to blind and eventually fell on a crowmobe. This means that he got 2nd in his heat and goes through to the Semi-finals!
Ken didn’t have his best run but still ended up on a 3rd place in his heat in Open men. Unfortunately only the top 2 went on to the semi’s so he has to ride his LCQ tomorrow.
Mattias got both his heel 7 and his big worm but the judges still placed him on a 4th place in his heat. We are a bit unsure about that decision but there’s not much we can do about it. He has to show them in the LCQ as well.
Mickan is one category for herself. With the chance of sounding cheesy I feel proud every time she rides and kills the competition. With several shuvs in her run she won her heat and went through to the finals!
Ted sucks (but i still love him)
Qualification Day
Good morning people! Dont you just love Jetlag which makes me wake up at 5.45 and not be able to go back to sleep. Instead I managed to track down the running orders for today and it looks like the whole team is riding there qualifications. Since me and Mickan are the reigning European Champs we are both seeded last and starting last in our heats. Jeremia will be the first Swedish off the dock as he rides Junior men at 9.30 this morning. Next up will be Ken and Mattias in open men around 12.30, I ride at 14.30 in Open women and after that our wakeskaters will have their Q’s. I’ll keep you posted! (:
Team Bowling
So we’ve got these awesome new team wear this year so last night after getting here and meeting up with the rest of the team (damn I’ve missed them) we all suited up and went for a bowling game. Since our shirts for some reason didn’t say “Wakeboard and Bowling team” we had to add the bowling ourselves…
You cant really tell in the pictures but the white tape says “Bowling” since we thought we’d represent
Test runs
So we’ve had our first test runs after the Malibu Wakesetter. Mattias got both his Big worm and Heel 7 down, Jeremia felt good about his back 5 and Mickan killed it as usual. Here are some pics from today’s shred!

Michaela on her skate!
So I didn’t ride too good on my testrun but I started talking to some Locals who had an Axis and ended up riding with them. Had such a good time and those guys were killing it, I also landed almost everything I’ve ever landed on a wakeboard so now I feel good about the comp! Tonight is the opening ceremony and Mange is right now at the Team Captains meeting so hopefully we’ll know our heats and when we ride tonight. I’ll try to keep you posted! (:

Sydney transfer
Next stop, South Africa! I had the best week with Dylan and his family/friends on the Gold Coast but now it’s time to head over seas for the African & European Championships. I’ll be meeting up with the rest of team Sweden over there and I’m planning on keeping you posted on how we do as much as I can.
The Life of a Wakeboarder
Sick Party night out in Surfers Paradise last night! Now up early to head off to the Rail Jam contest in Bli Bli. This will be the first time in 2 years I ride a non flexboard on cable, wish me luck!
