Home!

Ehm, to Mitches Parent’s 😉 It was AMAZING to sleep in a normal bed and to wake up when I wanted and to get all the disgusting needles out of me! So happy!! Been making cookies while listening to Justin Bieber today and then ate them while watching a movie. Last night me and Mitch picked up Dylan as soon as I got out of the hospital. That is Dylan who I stayed with at Goldie, he’s down to ride the Moomba Master Competition this week-end.(I just found out that he won it again! Way to go Dylan!! (: ) We had taco night which was the first time in five days I managed to eat without feeling nauseous.

This was like 2 days before surgery.. Wonder if my tan will survive this? 😉

Still rocking my O’Neill Stretch’s ;)

So being in this hospital really makes me feel like a kid again. I’ve been watching the Lion King, put my arms over my chest and refused to eat and cried out lout when the nurses needs to put needles in my arms.

I. Hate. Needles.
I dont know why, they just make me really really uncomfortable and all the nurses here know that now. They’ve tried everything from doing it when I’m sleeping to numb cream but everytime they’re putting a needle in me, I’ve ended up crying (yeah, I’m a real chicken and I’m not hiding it) Thats why, today when they had to get some blood from me they sent in the big guns. This nurse was sooo nice and told me that she was going to use a needle called “the butterfly” which they normally use on little kids. I think she was used to treating kids cause she kept saying “aw, how brave are you?” and “you’re such a good girl” and I loved it. For the first time I didn’t cry!

Guess we all have some part of a kid in us and in my case, it definitely shows when I’m sick or in pain. I’m allowed to go ‘home today or home to Mitches parents who are without a doubt some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Mitche’s mom made me home-made brownies which was the first thing I managed to eat without feeling nauseous after my surgery.

I can barely watch it now cause it makes me wanna ride so bad but you haven’t missed the website Wakegirls? Full of cool chicks on the water and it def. stokes me up so bad! Well, that was todays unload of thoughts… xx

Hospital Update

So I got a request from, probably, my biggest blog-reader (my brother) to write some about my time here at the hospital. Well it’s not that exciting it all started a couple of days ago with me waking up in the middle of the night with some stomach ache and just went on with my day as usual til the cramps made me go to sleep at like 1. I woke up a little later in some cramps, thinking it was just food poisoning, but we decided to go to the hospital anyways. Once in they kinda put me in a sexy night gown and to bed straight away and then surgery the next morning. I love how you just go in there and then wake up with no idea where or who you are but in zero pain and all fuzzy! Been in recovery the last few days and since my appendix actually broke on me they have to keep me under observation and give me some antiboitics. Anyone who has ever tried to put a needle in my arm knows how much fun it is and how big of a little kid I am when it comes to that kind of stuff.

So yeah, thats the story.. I never realized how many great friends I’ve made down here who really come and visit me and help me out! Ian from Double Up, Briony and your family and of course Mitch, and the rest of the Williams. As well as all the emails from my family back home in Sweden. I love you all more than my morphine button right now!

I’m kicking it pretty hard at the moment, watching movies and looking at changing some flight tickets. The hardest blow for me was hearding the doctor say that I shouldn’t do any “heavy lifting” for at least 4 weeks and then he asked me if my “body boarding” included such. This means that I will miss the World Cup next week-end and it makes me wanna punch a wall just thinking about it. Well I got to believe that everything happens for a reason so maybe this is the universe’s way of saving me.

Now that I’ve got internet at the hospital I might be able to blog some more! (: Thanks for all your sweet comments!

Be cool, stay in school…

Rocking my hospital wear, nanna style!

So, looks like I’ll be taking it easy on the blog-posts for a while. Just had surgery for my appendix but it went fine and I’m okay but they wont let me get back on my wakboard for a bit. This suckksss! Write me tons of e-mails and face-messages and I’ll get happy! (: Take care you guys!

An unusual post in Swedish

Living the chase 100% varje dag!

Europeans

Just saw that team germany (Sigi and the others) put together this edit from South Africa. They really capured the vibe from the contest, def one of the best trips ever! get better soon Sigi!

My new favorite drink

Spirulina smoothie! Looks awesome, tastes awesome and is full of healthy stuff! Spirulina is a sort of seaweed which contains lots of protein and vitamins (perfect for us veggie’s). My room mate thought I’d forgotten about some juice in the fridge and was about to throw it out but nope, its supposed to look like that. yummm!

Great Week-end

Such a good week-end checking out the Melbourne Night life with Catti, Luke and Fil. I had the best time but looks like Swedish people dont really know how much to drink 😉 I havent really had too many sick nights out in Melbourne but saturday was so much fun! Thanks everyone who made it sickk!

Weather sucks though so it’s been way too windy to take the boat out for a ride lately. Want to try and go for a surf tomorrow instead and I’ve finally located my wetsuit (Im going to need it since its only like 19 degrees right now).

Riding in the storm

So windy today so my plans on trying new tricks went out the window. I went down to the center pretty early to hang out with Mitch and the boys from the Navy who today had an event where a lot of kids who, amongst other things, were survivors of cancer tried wakeboarding. It was cool to just hang out in the good spirit of everyone even though the wind was so strong. At least the sun was out and the stoke on the water was sweet! I went out to go for a “show” set and couldnt do too much more than a couple of inverts but it was fun having lots of kids in the boat getting pumped on wakeboarding. Some of the navy guys, Mitch, Mike and I went for a little sesh afterwords as well but it turned into some surfing cause of the whitecaps. We finished by having dinner at the pub, good friday! (:

New trick!

Yeeaah! (: So stoked to ride with this crew, they always pump me up. Even though the weather was so bad with a choppy lake and I freezing wind we went out and everyone had great sets! Stoked Brionny is back from her surf trip in Canada and so happy to land a new trick in, I wanna try to put it in my contest run for World Cup! (:
